Loop
(001)
[25]
A clientless brand for AI, data, and biotech teams
Loop is Brand 001 of Artifex — a design experiment where identities are created without clients, constraints, or deadlines. This one has been in the making for over 9 months.
The idea: build something thoughtful, experimental, and instantly usable — no hiring, no waiting, no back and forth.
Loop was made for emerging tech teams — AI, data, or biotech — with a focus on systems that evolve. The identity reflects this through a looping logomark and modular, high-contrast visual assets called Rifts — they might represent data streams, funding cycles, or molecular movement.
Available for acquisition. Inquiries welcome.

Blau
[23]
Brand identity design for an all-in-one DeFi app
Stake. Swap. Borrow. Send. Vote. Delegate.
Blau is an all-in-one platform for every DeFi action.
The visual identity channels the feel of a high-end digital casino — merging trust and thrill. Visual elements include a poker-inspired ‘B’ logomark, traditional finance greens, energetic gradients, and icons + motion that allude to slot-machines.
The result is a brand that makes DeFi feel as refined as TradFi, without losing its edge.
Animated by Chiung Xiaoqiong Zhang.

Finance
[18]
Brand + interface for a DeFi platform with $50M TVL
Stream Finance is a DeFi platform making high-yield crypto strategies accessible to everyday users. We designed a brand system rooted in movement — fluid visuals, a signature urn logo, and dot-based motion graphics that visualize streams of currency.
Blue and pink accent colors hint at TradFi and DeFi. Blue is secure and institutional. Pink is expressive, new, and experimental.
Shortly after launching the new brand, Stream successfully secured its next round of funding.

[a] Info
Independent design practice based in Los Angeles, California, focused on branding for emerging-tech teams across crypto, biotech, infra, and AI.
My work spans full identity systems, logo design, and brand-led web design — blending timeless design principles with slightly experimental visuals. The result is often systematic, high-energy, and allusive: brands that say something clearly and hint at something more.
background
I previously ran Flowstage Studio for 3 years, partnering with 40+ startups across crypto, fintech, and biotech.
Clients have raised over $30M using brands I helped launch. Past clients include MarginFi, Layer3, The North Face, LatchBio, Stream Finance, and Nektar Network.
approach
My process is very iterative, artistic, and documented.
Design decisions come from constant study of exceptional design and art. I start every project by building something timeless and then pushing it 10% further with slightly experimental and bold visual ideas.
artifex
Artifex is my experimental branding project — exclusive, original identities crafted independently without deadlines or client constraints.
Each one is distinct, refined, and acquirable by founders looking for something rare and resonant.

Bio
Independent studio practice based in Los Angeles, California, working with founders in emerging-tech spaces to create their brand identities. Before this, I ran Flowstage Studio for 3 years, collaborating on brands across crypto and fintech.
Also focused on a project called Artifex, an artistic, experimental approach to branding, where I create brand identities first, then match them with founders after—inverting the traditional process for more authentic and unique results.
Approach
My process is very iterative, artistic, and intentional. My design decisions come from constant study of exceptional design and art. I believe in studying great work, and that familiar design is good design. I want to make things that are familiar, but fresh. Usually starting my process with creating something strong and classic, then making it 10% different—often through bold, eye-catching visual elements. I find that this ensures work that lasts for years.
